Welcome to UA in South Africa, an interactive space for students to document and reflect on their study abroad experience in the rainbow nation. The study abroad program “UA in South Africa: Resistance and Freedom” introduces students to both the rich and multifaceted history and culture of South Africa while highlighting connections with political and social histories of the United States. Taught by Professor Cajetan Iheka (English), and Professor Jennifer Dominique Jones (Gender and Race Studies), this program is open to students of the University of Alabama.
